Dubsado Pricing (2026): The Full Teardown After the December Increase

If you searched for Dubsado's price this week, there is a good chance the number you found was wrong. As of July 2026, two of the top five Google results for "dubsado pricing", including a page literally titled for 2026, still list the old $20 and $40 per month rates that died on December 1, 2025. Part of the reason is technical: Dubsado's own pricing page renders its monthly prices behind a JavaScript toggle, so the static page that aggregators scrape only shows annual figures.

Stale copies of stale data, everywhere.

So here is the current, verified picture: what Dubsado actually costs now, exactly what changed in December 2025 and by how much, which plan you realistically need, and the costs that never appear on the pricing page at all. Every number links to the source we checked this month.

What Dubsado costs in 2026#

Dubsado has two plans: Starter at $35 per month or $335 per year, and Premier at $55 per month or $525 per year, with a 21 day free trial and no free plan for new signups.

The prices, per Dubsado's pricing page and its llm-info page, verified July 2026:

Both plans include unlimited clients and projects, invoicing with payment plans, form and email templates, client portals, calendar connection, the mobile app, and email and live chat support. There are no client caps on either paid plan.

Extras, from the same page:

• Additional brands cost $10 per month each.
• Your first 3 additional users are free. After that, 4 to 10 users cost $25 per month, 11 to 20 cost $45, and 21 to 30 cost $60.
• The free trial is 21 days with full Premier access and no credit card required.

What you will not find on the pricing page: a money-back guarantee (none is offered anywhere on it), the old free plan (gone for anyone who signed up after November 17, 2025, per the legacy trial FAQ), or any mention that these prices are new.

The December 2025 price increase, documented#

On December 1, 2025 Dubsado raised Starter by 75% ($20 to $35 per month) and Premier by 37.5% ($40 to $55 per month) for new subscribers, while existing subscribers kept their old rates.

Dubsado never published a standalone announcement. The primary record is a FAQ entry on its 3.0 launch page: "Starting December 1, 2025 at 3:01pm PT, new pricing will take effect for new Dubsado subscriptions." The same page confirms anyone already paying, or who joined before that moment, keeps their rate, and the llm-info page repeats it: "Existing subscribers prior to that date retain their previous pricing."

Here is the before and after. The old prices are corroborated by two third-party pages published before the change (Assembly's November 2025 writeup and Capterra's listing, both of which, tellingly, still show them as current):

Two things stand out:

1. The entry price took the biggest hit: the plan aimed at newer, smaller businesses got the 75% increase.
2. The timing: the new prices landed two weeks after the Dubsado 3.0 rollout, a rebuild that was still labeled a beta on Dubsado's own login page eight months later.

New subscribers pay 37.5% to 75% more for the version still stabilizing.

The increase also quietly ended an era: signups before November 17, 2025 could use a free plan capped at 3 clients with no time limit. New signups get 21 days, then pay. If you are on the old free plan or an old paid rate, you are grandfathered until you cancel, which is worth knowing before you let a subscription lapse during a slow month.

Dubsado ran one bridge offer, a Black Friday deal from November 24 to December 1, 2025 at 50% off the first annual year at old pricing. It expired with the increase. The only standing discount we could verify in July 2026 is the referral program: 20% off your first month or year with a referral link.

Starter vs Premier: which plan you actually need#

The six features gated to Premier include scheduling, automated workflows, and public proposals, which means most working solos end up on the $55 plan, not the $35 one.

Per the pricing page, Starter is missing exactly what Dubsado is famous for. Premier-only features: automated workflows (the Flows engine), scheduling, public proposals, unlimited lead capture forms (Starter gets 1), the bookkeeping integration, and Zapier.

Read that list against why people choose Dubsado in the first place. The pitch is automation: the tool that runs your onboarding while you sleep. That pitch is a Premier pitch.

Starter is a capable forms-contracts-invoices tool, but if you were only shopping for forms, contracts, and invoices, you would not need Dubsado's complexity, and the entire Certified Specialist economy that configures Dubsado builds on Premier features.

So treat $55 per month, or $525 per year, as the realistic Dubsado price for a solo who wants what the marketing describes. The $35 tier is mostly a decoy for that buyer.

The costs that are not on the pricing page#

A typical done-for-you Dubsado setup adds $1,500 to $3,800 on top of the subscription, or 80 plus hours of your own time if you build it yourself.

Dubsado ships as a blank canvas. The published market rate for a specialist to configure it runs $1,500 to $3,800 and up, and certified specialists describe full builds taking six to ten weeks. Do it yourself and the cost converts to your evenings instead.

Either way, the real year-one price of "Dubsado, working the way the marketing shows" is the subscription plus a setup project: with a typical $2,000 specialist build on Premier annual, that is about $2,525 in year one.

There is also a transition cost unique to right now: Dubsado is mid-migration from 2.0 to 3.0, with 2.0 slated to sunset sometime in 2026. If you join today you start on 3.0 and dodge that rebuild, but you should know what broke and what is still missing in the version you are buying.

Payment processing: the one place Dubsado does not take a cut#

Dubsado adds a 0% platform fee on payments, passing through processor rates like Stripe's 2.9% plus 30 cents, which saves real money compared with tools that process payments themselves.

Credit where due. Dubsado connects to Dubsado Payments (powered by Stripe), Square, or PayPal, and its help center confirms you pay the processor's standard rates and nothing extra: 2.9% plus 30 cents on US cards, 4.4% plus 30 cents on international cards, and 0.8% capped at $5 on ACH. Surcharging is supported in most US states and in Canada up to 2.4%.

That ACH cap matters more than it looks. On a $5,000 project payment, ACH through Dubsado Payments costs $5; the same payment on a platform charging 1.5% bank-transfer fees costs $75. Dubsado deserves the point here, and it is the same test we apply to every tool in why your client tool should never touch your money. HoneyBook, by contrast, processes payments itself and monetizes the spread, which is how a cheaper-looking subscription gets more expensive than it appears.

How Dubsado's new prices compare#

At $525 per year for the plan most solos need, Dubsado now costs more over three years than HoneyBook's entry tier, Moxie Pro, Bonsai Essentials, or Raoura, and slightly less than 17hats.

Three caveats that the table cannot carry:

1. Bonsai prices are per user and its add-ons stack.
2. HoneyBook monetizes payment processing on top of the subscription.
3. None of these numbers include setup labor, which is where Dubsado is the outlier. Add the typical $2,000 specialist build and Dubsado Premier's three-year total reaches $3,575, roughly five times the total of the flat-priced tools.

Is Dubsado worth its new price?#

Dubsado at $525 per year is worth it for roughly one kind of buyer: someone who wants deeply customized automation and will actually invest the 80 plus hours or $1,500 plus to build it.

Pay for Premier if your business genuinely runs on multi-step automated sequences, you have niche workflow needs a fixed pipeline cannot model, and you accept the setup project as an investment. Grandfathered subscribers at $40 have an even easier case for staying put.

Do not pay for Starter if you are choosing it to save $20 a month. It withholds the automation that justifies Dubsado's complexity, and at $35 it now costs more than several tools that include everything.
