Export your data

Your data is yours, and you can take a copy whenever you like.

Export everything#

1. Go to Settings, then the Account tab.
2. Find Export your data.
3. Download your clients, invoices, proposals, contracts, and projects as spreadsheets (CSV), or everything as a single file.

When to export#

• Bookkeeping and taxes: hand your invoice history to your accountant as CSV.
• Backups: keep your own periodic copy for peace of mind.
• Before deleting your account: account deletion (Settings, Account, Danger Zone) permanently removes all of your data and cannot be undone, so always export first.

Related account settings#

The same Account tab is also where you:

• Change your password (works even if you signed up with Google and never had one).
• Change your email address (a confirmation link goes to the new address, and the change takes effect after you click it).
• Set your timezone under Preferences, so due dates and reminder timing are correct for you.
• Turn on activity notifications, so you get an email when a client accepts, signs, or pays.
