Creative proposal
Voice over proposal template
A complete proposal you can send after filling in the brackets. Copy the text or download the PDF, then make it yours.
Make it yours before sending
- Replace every [bracket] with the client's real details. Search for "[" to catch them all.
- Set real prices in the investment tiers, and cut to one option if tiers do not fit the job.
- Rewrite "Understanding your goals" in the client's own words from your call. It is the section they read closest.
- Delete anything that does not apply. A shorter, true proposal beats a longer, generic one.
Voice over proposal
Voice over proposal prepared for [Client Company]
1. Overview
Prepared for [Client Company] by [Your Name], [Date].
Thank you for considering my voice for [project]. This proposal covers the read, the session, and the two things voice work is really priced on: how the recording will be used, and for how long.
2. What you are aiming for
[Client Company] needs a [describe: warm and conversational, authoritative, energetic] voice for [project: an explainer, a commercial, e-learning modules, IVR prompts] of approximately [word count / finished minutes].
The recording will run on [media: web and social, paid digital, broadcast, internal] in [territory] for [term], which is exactly what the license below covers.
3. My process, step by step
- Phase 1, Script and direction. You send the final script with pronunciation notes and reference reads; I confirm tone and pacing with a short sample before recording the full piece.
- Phase 2, The session. I record in my treated home studio ([mic and chain]) with [2 to 3] full takes of the script [or live-directed via Source Connect / Zoom if you prefer to direct].
- Phase 3, Pickups. Within [14] days, corrections for my errors and up to [2] rounds of direction changes on the unchanged script are included. Script rewrites after the session are a new session, which is why the script should be final first.
- Phase 4, Delivery. Edited, cleaned files arrive in [WAV and MP3] within [2] business days, split and named per your spec.
4. Scope and deliverables
- A finished, edited read of the final script ([word count] words)
- Broadcast-quality audio from a treated studio, delivered in [WAV 48k/24-bit and MP3]
- [2] rounds of pickups on the unchanged script within [14] days
- Files split and named per your editing spec
- A written usage license for [media, territory, term]
- [Optional] live-directed session so your team hears takes in real time
5. Outside this scope
- Script rewrites after the session (recorded as a new session at [rate])
- Audio post beyond cleanup: mixing against music, sound design, and sync are your editor's (available as an add-on)
- Usage beyond the licensed media, territory, or term (upgrades quoted on request)
