Multi-currency invoices
How currency works on Raoura invoices and payments.
Here is how currency works in Raoura, including when your clients are abroad.
Your account currency#
Money in Raoura is always shown in your account currency, everywhere: proposals, milestones, and invoices. Amounts are exact, with no rounding surprises, so the number you enter is the number your client sees and pays.
Clients in other countries#
Your clients do not need to be in your country or bank in your currency to pay you:
- You invoice in your account currency as usual.
- The client pays by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, processed by Stripe.
- The client's card provider handles any conversion on their side, as with any cross-border card purchase.
The payment lands directly in your connected Stripe account, and Stripe pays out to your bank on its normal schedule. Raoura is never in the middle and takes no cut; standard Stripe processing fees apply.
Good to know#
- Keep your account currency consistent with where you do business; it applies account-wide, so every client document reads the same way.
- Deposits on proposals and milestone amounts follow the same currency as your invoices.
